Cuba - Varadero and Havana.

My last post but one was from 2014, since then i have still continued with my photography, mainly taking snaps of nature and landscapes. 

I will try and do a fair few posts of my favourite or most interesting images from the last few years, this way i can fill in the gaps on my photography journey.

The first set of images below are taken in Cuba (2015), i thought it would be good place to start as it is where i got married! It is a beautiful place and I am glad we chose to get married there.

Animals in laboratories

Back in April I took part in the amazing march through Birmingham city centre for the"World day for animals in laboratories". So many people turned up, the majority of people had either made signs, had leaflets to hand or even dressed up in lab coats stained in blood. This was the first big protest I had been on and I felt quite emotional at times, it was such an intense day where fellow animal right activists were shouting the same heart felt chants to the city of Birmingham.  Animal testing can be a very touchy subject, of course this is understandable. We all know someone who has had to suffer through awful diseases such as cancer or heart disease, and like everyone else I wish that did not have to happen, but how is it right to push all that pain, terror and torture onto innocent, voiceless and helpless beings? To disagree and speak out about animal testing does not mean we do not want progression to be made, for people to get better or for scientific research to

Take me back to Greece

One of my favourite places I have visited in relation to my Photography would have to be Greece.  We went a couple of years back and I was really pleased with the images i captured. There was such diversity in the landscapes and scenery, plus the weather was amazing.  Whilst there we stayed at a family members apartment in Chaniotis (Halkidiki).  Check it out on the Map.. . A hire car made it pretty easy to reach a number of beautiful places near by such as Kassandra, Nes Fokea and Nea Skioni. This was my first trip to Greece and i would love to go back at some-point in the future, hopefully somewhere close to Athens as i imagine you could take some great photos there.  These are some of my favourite photos from the trip taken at various places around the Halkidiki region. New Year...

So since my last post i have not taken any photos as intended...well not outside/landscape images like i wanted to do. The weather has been horrible, rainy and no frost like i hoped for! However that is no excuse. The only images i have really taken are some shots at my house just playing around with my Macro lens, see below the photo of one of my many owls that are scattered around my house! One of my many, many, many owls!  I have been pretty busy with Xmas, visiting family and chilling out before i have to go back to work. Craig and I have been pretty geeky this Christmas break, mostly playing games, either Borderlands 2 on the Xbox, or our new LOTRs role playing card game which my brother bought us for Christmas! My Violin i had for Christmas! I have recently had to take one of my rats to the vets and i am keeping a close on eye on her, which is quite difficult with four rats whom are all crazy in their own little ways!
